Before I get into the review, I just want to thank Lydia Howe for the incredible amount of work and imagination she put into this! It’s truly a work of art, and I’m honored to be reviewing this as my first book review on my blog :).

What I thought about this book:

This book is captivating, and when I read it, I couldn’t put it down. It was one of the best books I’ve read in a while, and I am looking forward to rereading it!
I felt like Destiny and her cousins were dear friends of mine, and learned so much from their life experiences.

In addition to being a great story, this book contains excellent advice for difficult situations everyone faces. I learned along with Destiny about forgiveness, growing through challenges instead of becoming bitter, and “taking the high road.”
The plot was well formed though it felt like it moved a bit quickly. The writing was captivating and unforgettable.

My only complaint is that I wish the book was several hundred pages longer!

Rating: I’m giving this book 5 stars out of 5 and 10 out of 10.
