This afternoon, I took a little walk down to the creek with my camera and tried to capture some of the happiness around here. Spring is coming! To say I’m excited might be an understatement.
At our previous home, our backyard was basically a garden. Lilacs, azaleas, bleeding hearts, lilies, lily of the valley, peonies, irises, hydrangeas, a pear tree, an apple tree, a cherry tree, grapes, blueberries, butterfly bushes… And I’m sure I’m forgetting some.
This is only the second spring that we’ve been in our current house, and last year we were very preoccupied, because my sister was in the hospital. This spring, I’m excited to watch the daffodils bloom, and see what else is coming up around here!

It’s still pretty brown down by the creek, but the sunset added a nice touch of color.
And of course, what’s a spring photo shoot without tulips, even if they are indoors…
