My oldest brother, Paul, and his girlfriend Laura got engaged a week ago! On their first date/excursion together, they went to NYC for the day. I was along for the ride, as well as one of Laura’s sisters, who was leaving the following week on a long term mission trip.
So for their engagement, my brother planned out an entire day back in Manhattan where they had their first excursion together. Paul managed to surprise Laura, by taking the train in to Manhattan. Once she realized where they were though, she started getting suspicious.
Sure enough, he got down on one knee and proposed! She said yes of course, and they had a wonderful day in the city.
Paul and Laura, I’m so incredibly happy for you two! I’m not gonna lie, I’m also really happy for the rest of us, because having Laura as part of our family is one of the best things that has ever happened to us.
